At the beginning of 2015, the tragic and brutal murder of Tara Costigan by a previous partner in a domestic violence dispute saw an emotional and public outcry at the state of Australia’s domestic violence epidemic. The close knit family bound together with a strong community backing to develop the Tara Costigan Foundation.

Challenge

The mission for the Tara Costigan Foundation is to raise much needed funds, lobbying, advocacy and support of those in need. Supporting many organisations in this area, the fundraising goals for TCF have been to provide victims with their own Tara’s Angels (personal case-workers) for a period of up to two years. By connecting and coordinating vital services, Tara’s Angels work with individuals and families to help them secure appropriate housing, financial stability, regain their confidence, courage, self-belief and independence. Tara’s Angels support victims to begin again, create safe homes and build new lives.

Solution

The Tara Costigan Foundation brand has been developed to support the organisations’ goals such as raise awareness, education and lobbying for positive changes to domestic violence in Australia. The identity needed to be a strong and positive application,also raise funds to support domestic violence victims in their personal journeys to becoming victors – from survival to success.
